no SR20, because I was working, but I did track the owner down in the store (Ace hardware), and let him know that we don't sell apex seals. He laughed, and we had a little chat about rotaries and RX-7s. Felt good, car looked awesome too, Gray w/Gold mesh wheels
Also found out my boss is a big time car guy, and has owned both a 914-6 and a '69 Boss 302 from new. he no longer has them, but he has in the past been approached by the DMV because he was buying and selling too many cars, and any more and he'd have to get a dealer's license. Awesome.

I think they are cheap most areas, what really bites you is parts and maintenance complexity (or finding a good rotary tech for even the initial inspection). There is also the supercar-esque fuel economy, high insurance premiums, and the issue of finding one in good condition
But, damn. All that aside I still lust after one and plan to pick one up within the next few years to experience my own project hell.
